I am Melinda Long
DJ / Emcee and VideographerI grew up in Lowell, MA, as the youngest of three sisters, bonded by sisterhood and a shared love for ’90s and 2000s music. My journey started as a DJ, where I found comfort and connection through the music that shaped an era. When I became an MC, I realized the real magic wasn’t just in the words—it was in the deep connection that music creates with the people listening.
That same rhythm led me to another passion: videography. Drawn to the power of sight and sound, I started capturing moments that mattered. What began as simple recordings of special memories grew into a love for storytelling—crafting visual pieces that really hit home. At the core of it all is love. It’s what drives every beat, every frame, and every step of this journey. And it’s my partner, Mads, who represents that love in its truest form. Her support and belief in me have shaped who I am today. She’s not just my partner—she’s my muse and my heart. For her love and steady presence, I’m forever grateful. This is for you, babe. ❤️

Day-of Coordinator and PhotographerGrowing up in a big, close-knit family in Northern Massachusetts, I’ve always carried that classic middle child energy. And yeah, the rumors are true—middle kids are the black sheep—but we always find a way to rise above it.
My path hasn’t been easy. I've faced my share of struggles with depression, anxiety, and ADHD—battles I fought quietly but with all the strength I could muster. Sharing my story now is my way of letting others know they’re not alone in the dark.
Photography became my refuge—a way to capture the raw, unfiltered emotions that make us human. I didn’t realize how precious freezing a moment could be until I lost my sister in 2010. That loss changed everything, but it also shaped who I am and why I do this. She’s still with me, guiding me through every frame I capture.
Even before I picked up a camera, I was always the one holding onto memories—burning moments into my mind with vivid detail. Photography just became an extension of that gift, a way to keep those fleeting moments alive.
MadLove means more than just a business. What started as supporting my partner’s dream turned into my own love story—with her and with the art of preserving time. Our goal is simple: to bottle up the feeling of grandma’s kiss, a father’s embrace, a mother’s tears during a first look, and that quiet, knowing glance between newlyweds.
